Welcome to Oxford U3A
Who we are
We are an organisation of (mainly) retired but not ‘retiring’ people providing opportunities for learning and discovery in a friendly social atmosphere and helping one another to live a fuller and richer life. It is a national and international movement which was set up in 1982 and the first Oxford branch was started in 1984.
You are welcome to join if you are retired or still working part-time. The only requirement is that you are not in full-time employment – no other qualifications are needed. The guiding principle is one of self-help, encouraging people to come together and continue their enjoyment of life and learning in areas of interest to them.

Three terms of weekly talks are held at 2pm on Thursday afternoons at Rewley House Lecture Hall at Oxford’s Department of Continuing Education. These are free for Oxford u3a members but you are welcome to attend as a guest for £5 (£2 for members of all other u3as). Our events programme has details of forthcoming talks.
There are also several special interest groups (SIGs) run by and open to new members. If you are interested in joining any of these, or starting a new one, please contact the SIGs Co-ordinator: sigscoordinator@u3aoxford.org.uk
