Graham Horn – Climbing Kilimanjaro – to the Roof of Africa
2nd November 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Graham Horn is a geographer by training, a transport planner by profession, and a discoverer by nature. He is a Blue Badge Tourist Guide, based in the Thames Valley and frequently guides groups in Oxford.
This talk is of a personal journey up Kilimanjaro. We are familiar with the iconic view across the African plains of the highest free-standing mountain in the world. But what about the scenery and flora on the mountain, and what is it like to do the walk and stand on the top? Graham will show the pictures and tell the stories.
