TIME AND PLACE

We are different from many other Book Groups, in that we choose a theme that interests us every three months, then select a number of books to fit. Our aim is to broaden the scope of our individual reading choices, and to enjoy spirited discussion each month, considering how literature sheds light on life in the 21st century. We take turns to present a book, but everyone is involved in the discussion. Novels form the bulk of our choices, but we may also include plays, poetry and essay collections. Our themes are wide-ranging, allowing us to explore sometimes difficult topics from the safe distance of literature.

We meet on the fourth Friday of each month at 2.30. Meetings are currently held in the Weston Library. This group is currently at capacity.
