Charlotte Ellis – My Granny and the Gestapo
21st January 2027 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Oxford resident Charlie Ellis has a remarkable family story to share. Her grandmother was 14 years old when she was left stranded and separated from her parents in Brittany in 1939 as the Nazi invasion rolled across France. She had to rely on guile and survival instincts to survive behind enemy lines for five years, facing internment, escapes and arrest by the Gestapo. Charlie is currently writing a fictionalised account of this thrilling story, so watch this space.
