Dr Jane Robinson – Ladies can’t climb ladders: The Pioneering Adventures of the First Professional Women
1st December 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Jane Robinson read English at Somerville College, Oxford, and worked in the antiquarian book trade before becoming an acclaimed author and public speaker who specialises in social history through women’s eyes. The title of her talk is the same as her 11th book, published in 2020, to celebrate the centenary of women first entering the traditional professions. It follows the pioneers as they trespassed into a man’s world and explores how this changed their lives, as well as those of future generations, for ever. http://www.jane-robinson.com/
