Talks take place on Thursday afternoons, starting at 2pm, and usually take place in the Lecture Hall, Rewley House, 1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JA. These are free for Oxford u3a members but you are welcome to attend as a guest for a donation of £5 (£2 for members of all other U3As).
Most talks are recorded on Zoom for the benefit of those Oxford u3a members who are unable to attend Rewley House.

Professor Tim Coulson – Predators: How Nature’s Killers Shaped Life on Earth

Tim Coulson is Professor of Zoology at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on how predators impact ecology and evolution. He enjoys communicating science. He is talking about his second popular science book. The first was called “A Little History of Everything from the Big Bang to You”.
The title of this talk is the same as that of his latest book. He will explain how past predators have made us human, how as predators we are changing earth, and how predators might just help save humanity from itself.
