Talks take place on Thursday afternoons, starting at 2pm, and usually take place in the Lecture Hall, Rewley House, 1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JA. These are free for Oxford u3a members but you are welcome to attend as a guest for a donation of £5 (£2 for members of all other U3As).
Most talks are recorded on Zoom for the benefit of those Oxford u3a members who are unable to attend Rewley House.

Reverend Dr Peter Howson – Singing the Lord’s Song in a Strange Land: Army Chaplaincy at Work

Reverend Dr Peter Howson is a former army chaplain (1977-2002) who has written about the experience of chaplaincy in the military in a number of books and articles. He has been involved in some form of chaplaincy throughout the whole time that he has been a Methodist Minister. He is currently the chaplain for the County Priory Group for St John Ambulance Wiltshire and lives in Ludgershall where he has Permission to Officiate in the parish church and conduct services on a regular basis.
