Sylvia Vetta – Memoir in All its Variety and Why You Should Record Your Stories
8th February 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Sylvia Vetta is a freelance writer and author who married Indian born academic Atam Vetta when that was regarded with hostility. Her entertaining memoir Food of Love Cooking up a Life across Gender, Class and Race has glowing endorsements from the historian Rana Mitter, the journalist Yasmin Alibhai Brown and Professor of Education at Oxford Brookes University, Jane Spiro. As well as talking about her experience of life writing (120 Inspirational People with Links to Oxford) and her own story, Sylvia wants to encourage members to record their stories.
