Talks take place on Thursday afternoons, starting at 2pm, and usually take place in the Lecture Hall, Rewley House, 1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JA. These are free for Oxford u3a members but you are welcome to attend as a guest for a donation of £5 (£2 for members of all other U3As).
Most talks are recorded on Zoom for the benefit of those Oxford u3a members who are unable to attend Rewley House.

Dan Evans – Introducing the Dulcimer

Dan Evans is the UK’s leading dulcimer player and one of the leading players internationally too. He has released five CD albums to critical acclaim and undertaken 18 International tours to date, including performing and recording in Nashville Tennessee. His talk will be a brief introduction to the dulcimer: what it is and isn’t, its origins and features and a few famous players. It will be illustrated with a number of songs and tunes performed on the dulcimer. CDs will be available to purchase after the presentation.
