Talks take place on Thursday afternoons, starting at 2pm, and usually take place in the Lecture Hall, Rewley House, 1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JA. These are free for Oxford u3a members but you are welcome to attend as a guest for a donation of £5 (£2 for members of all other U3As).
Most talks are recorded on Zoom for the benefit of those Oxford u3a members who are unable to attend Rewley House.

Dr Martin Holmes – Jim Callaghan: A Reputation Revised

Dr Martin Holmes was Lecturer in Politics at St Hugh’s College Oxford for over 20 years. He is now a Senior Common Room member at St Hugh’s. The author of seven books on British and European politics, his latest publication is From the Treaty of Versailles to the Treaty of Maastricht: Conflict, Carnage and Cooperation in Europe 1918–93 (Routledge, 2022). He is a regular u3a speaker and has addressed Oxford u3a on several occasions in the past decade.
