Dr Paul Thomas – Relativity, Black Holes and Dark Stuff

29th September 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Paul Thomas gained his PhD in theoretical physics at Manchester and went on to research the relationship between field theories and statistical mechanics. He later changed fields completely to controlled fusion research, which has led to him working for international agencies in the UK, USA, Japan, France and Spain. His current position is as Chief Technical Adviser at Tokamak Energy Ltd. The talk will address the underpinning of Einstein’s theories of relativity, and the observations that confirm the existence of dark matter will be described.
